"Merida on SUNDAYS" a traditional all day affair.
The Main streets are closed to the traffic and the entire area becomes a pedestrian "walk".
To enjoy the free music entertainment and typical folklore dances in front of the Municipality Building, you must go early to get good seats.

The side walks are fill with art and crafts, typical yucatecan dishes, refreshments, and the prices are reasonable.

"San Juan Church" and the three "Arcos de San Juan" are the Landmark of this historical neighborhood located in the very center of the city of Merida and within a short walk from Casa San Juan.
Public Market
"El Mercado" (public market) is close to "Casa" and it's a "must visit". You can find souvenirs, Mayan artifacts, hats, hammocks etc.
